Vice President & Global Commercial Director (all genders)
Global portfolio management, product management and supply chain experience required, Chemical industry experience required, fluent in English
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the global product strategy to maximize profitability, including rationalization, expansion, and consolidation initiatives.
- Manage global pricing strategy, market assessments, and support M&A activities including due diligence and integration planning
- Manage marketing operations within product management and support business directors in driving P&L performance and margin improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for sales and technical service teams, including structure, roles, KPIs, and overall effectiveness
- Drive key change and transformation initiatives and increase operational agility and efficiency to improve the overall profitability of the business
- Maintain close partnerships with R&D, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams to align product and market strategies with business needs
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Operations or related discipline; Advanced degree preferred.
- At least 10 years of professional experience in commercial, product management or S&OP leadership role in a global, highly matrixes and complex organization
- Experience across multiple disciplines including marketing, sales, product management, supply chain, operations and finance experience is desired - in the chemical industry
- Strong P&L leadership experience and commercial expertise, as well as strong analytical and strategic thinking
- Demonstrable competency in transforming organizations to lean principles, and management of large diverse staff and strategic planning
- Proficient in English is required, fluency in other languages is desired
- Willingness to travel and experience in cooperating with Japanese stakeholders
- High level of initiative and engagement, teamwork and strong interpersonal skills as well as a strong hands-on mentality
